Legacy Chain — The Living Archive

A family archive built as a constellation: people, places and moments, with the threads between them surfacing on their own.

Open the live site

Legacy Chain interface showing a constellation of people, memories, events and places connected by faint threads, with the line nothing is remembered alone.

A memory archive that refuses to be a list. People, places, events and memories sit as nodes in a slowly drifting constellation, and the relationships between them surface as you move across the web rather than being filed by hand — a wedding in 1961, a lullaby, a coast house, a city. Alongside the graph sit a timeline, a family and self view, and a guided path for adding your own. The premise the interface is built around is that nothing is remembered alone: a memory is only ever anchored by the people and places attached to it.
