Infrastructure / AV / Automation
I build the systems behind the work — and keep them running.
Twenty years across IT infrastructure, end-user support and live AV. Today, that experience goes into Kubernetes clusters, self-hosted platforms and tools that make everyday operations simpler.
A few ways into my work.
Choose a question to explore the projects behind it.
Infrastructure that can be operated, understood and recovered. My work spans Kubernetes, containerised services, endpoint management, AV systems and practical automation.
Explore selected work ↗Talos and Kubernetes, Docker and Linux, Synology, JAMF, and local AI tools including Ollama. Each tool has a job; the portfolio shows how they fit together.
Explore the stack ↗A lighter version of this portfolio: the same design, with a standalone WordPress theme. The case study includes before-and-after lab measurements and their limitations.
Read the measured results ↗My three-node Talos homelab uses repurposed Latitude hardware and a floating API address. Failover was checked by taking a node out, then observing what kept working.

Docker and KVM workloads on Linux and Synology hosts: reverse-proxied services, object caching, repeatable per-service layouts, and network segmentation planned before the first container starts.
JAMF administration across managed Apple estates, with the documentation and diagram work that makes an estate operable by someone other than the person who built it.
Over a decade running IT and AV for a 558-room hotel and its conference operation — rooms that had to work on the day, with no second attempt.
Local-first automation: offline model serving, cross-platform command surfaces, and scripted operations that replace the manual steps nobody wants to repeat at 2am.
